I did the exact same to my 03 rx1, 04 warrior and my 06 GT .The only thing I added was exhaust adapters to the tips .This made a better sound and put the noise farther behind you. I believe the size I used was 1 -13/16 I/D x 1 3/4 ,the big end will be a tight fit over the factory tip.I polished the add on tip with Mothers to a chrome finish .Looks and sounds fantastic!!! This may not appeal to every one but I sure like it...

thats how i did my 06 rtx before it even had a mile on it,i did go 1 step farther and cut the cone off of the main exhaust tube and also cut all the extra tubing out that was just adding weight,sounds awesome and the price is right too

so yours just a can???

Installed a white knuckle exhaust

I was going to gut my stock exhaust but heard the white knuckle and was impressed with the sound so I looked for one and got an amazing deal on one from new market. It is not to loud but gets rid of the drone at trail speeds.

cutting those crosover pipe is pretty much the same as gutting it.

I would have just drilled a bunch of holes in the internal pipes or the chamber walls

Sounds good! At the risk of sounding old, I half to say my RTX is loud enough stock. WOW, I can't believe I actually said that. My Apex is the first sled I have ran without an exhaust mod!

Is there any way that you could lose power with this mod? (less back pressure) And could it change the way the efi works for the sled? My friend wants to do this mod but he just had some questions about it. Thanks
