Just changed the oil in my 07 apexRTX and it won't start. It'll turn over but won't fire. The engine icon is flashing on the guage and the yellow light is flashing while I turn it over. I tilted it up to try to bleed the tank., but no luck. I have a call into my dealer, but not sure how that's going to pan out. Any help is appreciated

Dealer called back and said it should fire up. I'm going to take it apart in the morning and see if missed something putting it back together. That icon tells you there is an electrical problem WTF.

Id go threw the sled and make sure you didnt unplug something maybe the oil plug sensor that goes to the oil tank its self???

Sled will start with oil sensor wire off.
Did you depress the Emergency shut off Switch on the bar?

I just double checked the kill switch and that's not it. I know it something stupid with all the fail safe systems on this sled. I'm going to start going through it this morning. I keep this post updated with what I find. Thanks for the replies

Check temp sensor near oil tank, I had that unplugged once and is reacting the same as you describe.

So what error code is flashing? If you can get that, it will point you in the right direction.
Or, if your want to tinker, ...
Unless they moved them, the CDI unit has a connector down where you mess around getting the filter off, relatively speaking. But, that is a pretty healthy connector. You don't typically bump it apart.
If you can not get the code and it is not the CDI and you can troubleshoot, then, ...
I know getting to the plugs and checking for spark may be a bit of a pain. So maybe spraying a bit of fuel in the throttle body is easier? It has to be spark or fuel that is lacking. If you spray in a small amount of fuel or even drip a bit in the spark plug hole (reinstall plug) and if it will not fire, then you know it is spark. If it is spark, I suspect a connector someplace close to the engine on the Mag side could have been disconnected.
Typically, do you hear the fuel pump charging the fuel system after turning on the key and before starting. If YES, then do you still hear that? If not, then I would suspect the fuel pump circuitry. That is a bit more complex. I suspect that there is a fuse and a relay involved. Check the fuse.

Lentodd, you got it. It was the ECU plug. When I moved it out of the way to remove the battery cage it came unplugged. I had to remove the plastic cover in the nose cone in order to see it was unplugged.
When I plugged it back in it didn't seem to have a lock. Thanks for the input and the suggestions. I knew it was something simple. Once the wife get's up I'm going to fire it up and check for leaks.
I saw the filter relocation kit from Ulmer. That thing looks like it would be worth the $ and effort. I now know why the dealer gets all the money for an oil change.

Glad to hear you got it!
Changing the oil filter gets a lot easier the second time! Kinda like makin' out with a new woman, if you know what I mean! ;-)
Allen's oil filter relocation kit is nice. I have had one in my hands. He also seems like a nice guy to deal with. He has been around a while and takes time to talk with you, when you call him. I just dropped a few $s in his pocket for a Stage II Clutch kit. I want to compare it to what I did with the stock stuff.

Good luck with the clutching. I'll be looking to do something next year.
Although I think Yamaha has the best stock clutching I've ridden. We'll see at the end of the season. Thanks again

Stock is close. But if offers little flexibility for minor and selective adjustments in RPM unless you change out the weights for some adjustable ones. The stock weights need an adjustment down by the pin. And if you shave off base material to get that adjustment, it is a bit harder to add weight back on.
Actually, I have the stock setup dial in. It hits 10,200 and stays very close until top end, which is 10,400. Now it is time to see if I can get that slight dip, when the track starts hooking up, out of there.
