apex top end speed

My clutch is still stock. I think the duallys really add friction and cut the top end down. It was still fast considering the slush, but I thought it would outrun my buddy on his xc7, even with my additional weight, he must have thought so too as he nailed as soon as he hit the ice...hehehhehe. I did'nt tell him I could not pass or catch him. For some stupid reason I did not note the r's but they usually go 10,400 on hardpack. Thanks for the ideas guys. I hopinf for more snow, cold weather for a nuther run like that.

I found that heavy snow or slush conditions really even out sleds.

There are times where I am riding with sleds that I would murder on hardpack....but in poor conditions would run neck and neck.

This happened with my SRX and Rx1. Not to worry.

The dualys will scrub off some speed, and the heavy snow/slush seems to hurt the apex's a bit, if your gonna race, do it on hardpack.

I had 130 on dream meter 06GT.My buddy went by me on my old 03 RX1 at 140 dream meter. The 06 GT has 1000 miles. The 03 has about 6000 with a few modds. That 03 always did have a killer top end.

The 03 has some good mods and his track must not be studded,as i have only heard of those speeds on the 03 rx1 and all of them were unstudded, but thats great speed at anyrate..

Redbarron What kind of tweeks did the RX have. My brother in law has my 03 and he would love to see 140.

Ive seen 129 on the speedo in Quebec, think there was a couple more left in it but I was running out of room fast.

Some of the speeds you guys are posting wont happen at the elevation I was at. I'm guessing it was about 2500', maybe more. Big diamond stewartstown NH

Hey x-ape I was thinking about heading up to your area this weekend. Do you have any good places to race and test. I have some new toys I want to test out.

Yes you are correct you may be off a little, but the 700 ran in them same conditions so something may be up with your sled somewhere, maybe chassie, wheels track tension,or track alignment who knows it could be something really silly too, when we were up in jackman two years ago on bigwood lake in downtown i got the elevation off my gps and it is 1400 ft and i ran 2 mph slower than down in my town,so i do think it will effect it some..
