Getting ready for 2013 season, sled washed oil change done, belts and plugs checked. I am in the process of adjusting front shocks making the front skis a little more aggressive found it sloppy last year and now I'm on to the track. Last year sled ran very well/fast very good top end, I'm looking at the manual and the manual tells me to tighten the track significantly I don't feel like this is right. Just poking around seeing what you guys are doing for track adjustment that overall good for top en and wear and tear. Let me know anyone? Thanks! My sled is an 06 GT I have 180 studs.

Welcome to the site Murse
What I and most do is leave the track to free hang approx 1-1/2" to 2" inches in the middle.
I am currently running about 1-1/2+ but not quite 2" and have had good luck with it there.
Some others will say loose enough so it doesn't slip/chatter on the drives, which means they have let it chatter then tightened it up just enough so that it stops.

x2 on the 1.5" - 2" free hang. I lay a piece of 2x4 lumber on the track and tighten the tension bolts until the 2x4 just contacts the hyfax. This may sound primitive, but it works. I do, however, run extrovert drivers, so ratcheting is not an issue

Hey thanks for the welcoming! and the advice seems like everyone is doing this adjustment way looser than factory recommendations. Thanks again!
