I've read the different threads on this. Any short cuts? Do the headlight, battery, tray, ecu etc, all really have to come out to do a full oil and filter change? RR

ducky said:correct tools is the #1 shortcut..........the first oil change takes the first timer about 2 hours if you don't run into problems (stripping heads)

WOW! can you give me any tricks HOW TO cut down on time!
My best time is avg. 1.5 hours 2 guys that know what their doing...thats stripping it down, removing skid plate and changing oil filter and chaincase oil.![]()

The 3rd time was to check to make sure I put the battery tray bolts back, head light pod 10mm's too.
The only 10mm Olive Green coated ones are the headlight pods (4) and down on the tray area. (2) right?
I feel stupid.. I put 100mi. on the sled since and it seems fine. I checked everywere for a missing bolt but cant find anything. I more work to it than just the oil filter change but the wolts were near the headlight pod were I layed them out.![]()
