Added a dash caddy to the sidewinder. Looks good. Should do the trick. Added a phone holder with wireless charging. Hopefully it will work in colder weather.

I have a slightly different mount but I put some washers under the bottom mount bolts to angle the display up slightly, it was better positioned with that slight angle.

This one has a ball mount like the RAM system. I can angle this up higher if needed. Slowly getting ready for snow. Nice being able to get this done while it's warm out.

Country Cat had those dash caddies on sale.

Wireless is a very cool idea. It will be interesting to see how well it maintains connection being bumped around. Those magsafe style connections use some strong magnets. It would suck if it was getting and losing connection often as the screen would change each time.

Nice work, I love the caddy on the viper. Perfect storage and place for mounting GPS. I too shimmed it just a bit for a better angle.

Do you have any photos of how you mounted it to the door.

This is what I used. Double sided tape and screws. 1/8 inch screws i believe. I might and a backing plate if needed. But very sturdy as is.

Damnit, I had to order one of these. Not for my sled, but for my motorcycle. That looks like a nice unit for sure. I even got the discount, so it shipped with tax for $36.

I put 100 miles on yesterday and missed my google maps. I have a mount for my Garmin, but I have gotten so spoiled with these phones for nav, that I don't care to go back to the old Nuvi's.

Thanks for sharing!

I sold my Garmin and bought a used iphone 12 that had a bad battery. Had the battery replaced for $90.00, total investment $240.00 CAD. I use that phone sharing the same account as my main phone and it is dedicated to nav on my atv, sled, bike, etc.. No risk to my main phone, if I lose it... no biggie. It works fine and so far has survived all types of weather and a couple of sudden unintentional parking maneuvers when speed overtook skill. I even forgot it on the sled overnight and it fired up once it thawed out. I keep it on a charger which seems to be enough to keep it from freezing in any conditions. The only issue I have with it is on the ATV, sometimes when the mud is flying and a drop (or more) lands on the screen it will mistake it for a finger touch and change settings or whatever.

It think what I like most about this particular mount is the power switch on the back side. Having the ability to leave it on or switch it off is huge to help avoid any parasitic drain on the battery when not in use.

The springs don't seem really strong, but the phone holds solid and keeps power and my bike is not normally a very rough ride. I may bring the lower clamps in a bit and I might find the sweet spot for the springs. I still use an iphone mini, so it is at the smallest of the compatible devices.

Nice recommendation!
