Has anyone tried the arctic cat plastic skis on a RX-1, I have an extra set off of a 98 ZR that I may try. Has anyone done this and if so what is involved and what were the results???

Well when I was eyeing them up they sure look bolt on. One thing I know is they are nowhere near as agressive as the Yami ski. This to me would be a good thing. Others may dissagree.

Cat ski will fit, no problem. You will need to drill out the ski pivot bushing I.D. to 7/16" to allow the larger cat bolt to go through the yamaha spindle. I have drilled these using a 1/2" electric drill, but it would be much better in a lathe. You will want to shim the cat ski rubber for optimal ski heal pressure. My RX1 handles MUCH better with the cat ski.
