Are the legacy Yamaha sleds dead?

No Vectors. No Apex. Only a left over Nytro. Plenty of new Cat and Polaris models at my local dealer. Are dealers not ordering the Yamaha built models any longer? Would you buy a Vector or Nytro or Apex over the new Viper?

If I was buying new this year it would be an Apex. If the Vipers turn out to be a dependable sled and close to the Apex in power, I don't want to give up much there. Then it might be a Viper next year. No sense in going backwards with the Nytro.

i have owned a Nytro XTX, an Apex and now a Viper. I like the Nytro over the Apex and have not yet put enough miles on the Viper.

I just found it odd that my local dealer has zero new Yamaha models on the showroom floor. Personally, I want a 2010 or newer Vector. They are the nicest machines on the snow.

I just bought a demo 2012 Vector LTX over the Viper for the wife. Saved a pile of cash. We plan on putting on the miles so she will last longer on the EPS equipped Vector than she would on the Viper. Nice looking Vipers though.

I know 4 people who bought new nytro xtx's this season myself being one of them. I know 2 people who bought new viper ltx's. The viper is a great looking machine. I swore I would never own a cat but maybe in a couple of years if the viper proves to be reliable. If the quality and reliability are not up to yamaha standards and yamaha goes all yamacat then I will be flipping a coin on the make of my next sled.
