just came home from cochrane ontario awsome conditions. will be the last ride for me this year[/quot
did you ride cochrane-hearst,how was it to get to the gas station,im only a cpl hours south from cochrane so we still have lots of snow to ride on here too

we rode to far side of kap only, as trails where shut down when we where there, groomers where not running then. it was first of the week but since then with all the fresh snow all trails reopened grooming restarted.
talked to a few people and they said groomed all the way to hearst. also abatibi was also going to get groomed and the fuel was avalible again. ran alot of power lines and non mantained roads and there has to be 4 feet of snow yet. fuel good to get to in cochrane, smooth rock, and kap.
i missed out on some good riding then,we were suppose to do cochrane-hearst over the weekend but the ofsc said the trails were shutting down so i changed my plans,i knew there was lots of snow cuz we have lots here,ah well, next year,i did manage over 7500 km so its not like i havent ridden

I just came back from being at the camp (which is north of Sudbury, Ont) for 4 days. We still have snow almost to your waist in the bush and a ton of ice on the lakes. My ice auger was almost all the way down to the very end when I finally broke through. We still have lots of good riding this month.

I just put Sudbury Ontario into mapquest and it looks I can drive there from my house in 14 1/2 hours! A little to far to trailer for a last ride! Enjoy a few more rides for the rest of us!

As you can see in my Avitar, my sled is already put away up in my storage loft for the summer.

same here, tons of snow but it will be very mild this week so its gonna melt some, funny i was in toronto over the weekend and from earlton to latchford there is lots of snow but towards north bay, there's hardly any snow left, and sudbury got lots, what a wild winter

I hope this spring will hold out until May like it did in 1996. I remember screaming 40 miles up the lake with the sled and it was May 5th! There was still ice on the lakes after the May long weekend. Yeah it is supposed to be mild this week up to 17 C on Friday. Oh well, I will get some high speeds on the ice with my SRX! My favourite speed run time of the year.

Nice pics. We had our last serious rides on the West Coast of NL this past w'end- to Western Brook Gorge (Gros Morne Nat'l Park on Friday and to the Gregory mountains on Saturday. It was two fantastic days with ~ 435km logged - but the trails were rough getting to these areas. Will post some pics in the Photos section later. Very good and will be content to put the VL away for summer after a few more short rides where I live - going for 4000Km this year.

All the best,

SNOW!!!
