Hey Allen - 7/8 of an inch of threads showing, and transfer rods are stock from the srx suspension from pro116. I have another srx suspension waiting for me in MN. So I can hack away at that one, cause pro116 needs his back.

Terry, which year SRX suspension are you putting in? Your rear shock seems to be setup right, now it all comes down to making sure the suspension only has 2" of travel (and i think you already have that accomplished if i remember correctly) and then playing with the transfer rod shims to get the right setup. the easiest way is to buy some extra thin shims (not sure on what the part number for them is) and cut a slot into the back of them so you can easily "snap" them on and off the transfer rods, this way you can adjust the transfer quickly and easily. i need to know which yr suspension you're running first though and then i'll give ya the measurement for the number of shims to run!

Hey Allen & Ryan - I have the front torque arm about 1/4 inch from bottoming out on the pads. It has about 2 inch travel. Ryan said he has some of the clips you mentioned. Ryan, I was at janssen tonight, I could have stopped over. Allen, I was mistaken, it was Jeff that ran the RX1, at Da Grove, MY BAD!

Well, I put my new 23 tooth top gear last night, and hopefully it helps. Will check clutch temps tomorrow, and hopefully run 10.90's. There is a small chance of rain, but no wind I hope. Had some really nasty Thunderboomers here all week, so Great Lakes Dragway was out of the question. Talk to everybody on Sunday!

8/2/03 - Races were cancelled before they even opened. Thunderstorms moved in from the NW, and were on and off all afternoon. Planning a tuesday night at Great Lakes Dragway, keeping our fingers crossed.

Terry, I don't have the exact measurement of the shims (I'll get that to ya on Wed/Thurs) but it's pretty simple. The more gap on the upper side of the transfer rods the more transfer there is and less gap is less transfer. You want to try and get away with using as little gap as you can so you're using the power to travel forward down the track and not using power to take up suspension "slack". Also if you increase the rear shock spring pressure (by turning up the spring or repositioning the FRA) it will also give you more transfer. Pretty simple really. I like to take a video camera and tape a few runs so you can really see what the suspension is doing on launch!

Hey Everybody - Ran at Great Lakes Dragway last night, and the best time was an 11.19, 70% humidity, and 82 degrees. Tried all kinds of helix settings, and even a new belt, but that was it. Same setup as I ran a month ago with the 47 straight set at 80% with a green spring.

Why not go the other way and see how much I can slow it down? I'm sick of watching all the little guys have all the fun.
