8/14/04 - beautiful day, 70 to 74, with no wind. Humidity was 38%.
1st time run - tried some weights from another member. This thing reacted like a different machine. Engaged at 5,500, but only revved to 9,100. It shocked the track, and I spun like no tomorrow. Even with spinning, it ran a quick 660', but slowed on the big end.
1.502 60ft. - 6.937 1/8 @ 95.173mph - 11.258 1/4 @ 110.000mph
2nd time run - went back to my original clutching I have been running most of the year.
1.492 60ft. - 6.946 1/8 @ 94.267mph - 11.219 1/4 @ 112.491mph
1st round - Dialed an 11.18 (redlighted -0.048)
1.482 60ft. - 6.925 1/8 @ 94.499mph - 11.192 1/4 @ 112.569mph
Sorry guys, better luck in 2 weeks. Going to the Grove next week tuesday, so hope to see you there 2xcelrate & impala.

Terry, pretty impressive that those weights only ran .04 & 2 mph slower while under reving 1000 rpm, I think those will be the weights you'll want to work with if we can get them tuned in, shoot me an email. I'll try to get ya hooked up!
great job tyler!! jeff
Well, made it to Fargo/Moorhead on the weekend, opposite of Gimli, 2 bikes only, 8 sleds total, nice track. It was great to see that many sleds there, there haven't been any out where I run other than the one time.
Couldn't get the thing to launch straight at first, then thanks to tips from a couple of the other guys there we got that straightened out. Times weren't as good as in Gimli, mostly around 11.30, but the guys there don't see why I can't get this thing into the high 10's without nos or a turbo, and I think I can too. Most of the sleds there were running in the mid 10's to high 10's and one mod ski-doo was running in the high 9's. Saturday we didn't do well at all, could have been the long drive and lack of sleep, yep I think I'll go with that! Sunday wasn't bad, won the first run of eliminations because the other guy launched bad but refuse to let off the throttle and touched the yellow line, he was disqualified, otherwise he had me. Next one, dialed in at 11.33 after I debated with my pit crew (was going to dial 11.32 and should have), broke out with 11.32 time, and was ahead of the other guy by 2 sleds or so, but that finish line sensor sure comes up fast and he was gaining on me. Oh well, he took it the rest of the way and that put me in the money.
Well now I have to try out a few of the tips the guys there gave me, thanks to Les, Rich and the rest of the guys there, hope to make it down there again sometime and maybe kick some butt!!!

Wish some of these other tracks were closer!!!

What kind of clutch kit are you running with again? Let us know what your results are!!!
Nos and others,
I'll be out on the track on Wed of this week...
I'll be doing the same thing as Nos out testing some different clutching setups.

8/31/04 Great Lakes Dragway (71 degrees with sun, but dipped to 60 with 89% humidity)
Tried some new weights again, but traction was a big problem with them, and the setup I ran. Mike/Matt/Allen, I need to know a good spring that would let me engage at like 4,200, instead of 5,600. Anyway, here it is.
1st run - new weights with 4 washers tip, 0 washers middle, and 4 washers bottom. Engagement 5,500 and rev was 9,600. SPUN BIG TIME!
1.520 60ft. - 4.277 330ft. - 6.970 1/8 @ 95.15mph - 9.246 1000ft. - 11.242 1/4 @ 111.48mph.
2nd run - took 2 washers off tip. SPUN EVEN WORSE! Rev was 9,800
1.553 60ft. - 4.465 330ft. - 7.016 1/8 @ 94.81mph - 9.302 1000ft. - 11.295 1/4 @ 112.03mph.
3rd run - everything out (tip and middle) Traction still bad, but revved to 10,100
1.545 60ft. - 4.449 330ft. - 6.994 1/8 @ 95.31mph - 9.276 1000ft. - 11.265 1/4 @ 112.27mph.
4rth run - put Roc's secondary setup on (the one I have been using most of the year) hit rev limiter, then went to 10,500
1.517 60ft. - 4.410 330ft. - 6.953 1/8 @ 95.60mph - 9.227 1000ft. - 11.211 1/4 @ 111.85mph.
5th run - put Roc's clutching back on. (primary with secondary)
1.507 60ft. - 4.398 330ft. - 6.953 1/8 @ 95.17mph - 9.235 1000ft. - 11.230 1/4 @ 111.31mph.
6th run - Roc's clutching with nitrous. Spun big time!
1.627 60ft. - 4.380 330ft. - 6.737 1/8 @ 102.90mph - 8.861 1000ft. - 10.730 1/4 @ 118.54mph.
7th run - Same with Nitrous (best 60 ft. time ever)
1.448 60ft. - 4.092 330ft. - 6.388 1/8 @ 105.60mph - 8.434 1000ft. - 10.253 1/4 @ 120.25mph.
02SNAKE - Thanks for coming down, and hope to see you again soon, so we can talk a little more.
