Any one heard of the TPS going bad?

Have a 2010 mtx se impulse
Started acting up last day of the season
Now will only idle for 10-15sec then goes lean and stalls
I started the sled and it ran rough on both ECU's up to 17 then full lean and stalled also idle was 1100rpm (too low)

I check both of the posi taps to the TPS and they were GOOD
I checked ohms between the TPS connection black and battery negative GOOD
Key on:
I checked between TPS 3rd power feed wire and battery negative 4.99V
i checked the 2 outside wires (power and ground) on the TPS 4.99V

I get like .2V without touching the throttle an .40V at wide open throttle between center blue ECU wire and battery ground while connected to the TPS ????? (This SEEMS LOW think paul said 4.9 at WOT)
There does not appear to be any damage to the wires

Does that mean that the TPS sensor is shot?
I also looked at servive manual not sure I understand it but while disconected my buddies sensor has a ohms reading between the top and bottom connector and mine shows nothing.

Any ideas???

Service maual says to remove it to test it, (It is very hard to get at and I am not sure why it has to be removed???)

Thanks for the help guys

If all measurements checks out your TPS is working as it should.

Have you checked all your vacuum/pressure hoses, if one or more of them are leaking your will get all kinds of trouble.

Mine does not read the values that my buddies sled does. No reason for them to be differnent.

Don't think I have any vacuum leaks. Any tips for checking? Is this where a guy makes a air chuck fitting for the air intake hose and adds say 15psi and see how long it holds the charge? or pressure it up and look for leaks with soap and water? what would stop it from going right through the engine and out the exhaust?

tps

Just going out to try and get into "daignostic mode 1" I'll see what the values are set at. Service manual says:
no throttle 16%
full throttle 96%

Maybe these values got changed??????

Whould my guage not show fault code 15 or 16? (Pg 7-4 service manual)

Can you get it to run if you throttle it, or it just wont run at all after 10-15 seconds. ie is this a idle problem or sled not running problem.

If its going lean that is a big clue. If your certain its getting fuel then there is a air leak.

tps

So I changed back to my old ECU, Changed the plugs and added fresh gas
Also Switched to a Fluke meter and got totally different readings The ohms readings all met the service manual specs.

In diagnostic mode 1 i got 16 to 90 the first time on the guage and 17 to 60 wot the second time????????????????? (WOT should be higher)
Seems to idle fine now not sure if the tps problem is intermitent????????

NO giving it any gas it stalls sooner

Do you have the service manual?
If you need it I can send it to you.

Your DI values checks out correctly

It's in the service manual, do you need it?
PM me your emailaddress and I'll send it your way.

i am assuming the is on your nytro impulse standalone? if so when checking the tps voltage by meter or by diag mode it will read different for it is wired in parallel and this number will change no matter what. having said that your symptoms are most likely a vacuum leak, don't worry too much about the pressure side as in doing the plugging and soapy water bit. just check the throttle body's all vac hoses and iac stepper motor, and little rubber plugs.

Yes spooled it's on the impulse nytro. It seems to be a TPS issue inconsistent results from service manual tests. Dont think it is a vaccuum leak. It is corrected by switching back to older non wideband correcting ECU. Unsure if newer ECU relies on TPS values greater the the old one. I sent Paul a email. What is a iac stepper motor?
