that would be allot of fun!!! are there any sleds to rent ? My brothers went to St. Petersburg( Leningrad back then I believe) back in the 1970's and said they loved it, they brought grain on cargo ships, rules were strict but a good time was had. Please tell us all on this site about the opportunity to ride in the Urals!!! JoeTranslation:
Setup is expensive because of the exchange rate. Otherwise, we have Yamaha VK-540 utilitarian snowmobiles for hunting and fishing. There is a lot of useful information on this forum. I like the fact that I found your site. Our guys go to Altai and the Urals to Russia, there are very good mountains and snow. We welcome all comers

Yep, 350 miles on mine so far and all good. Installed at 370 due to minor weeping of factory sealant.

I installed the gasket last year on my 18 winder, it had 4500 miles when installed. It now has almost 8,000. So 3,500 miles later and I can say that I have forgot about a leaky oil reservoir gasket.

Put mine on a few hundred miles ago, 72 inch pounds, blue loctite like Travis said. Working great. I think Cat thinks of it more like an oil pan than an oil tank! lol

10-inch pounds = 1 ft pound. So, 72-inch pounds is 7.2 ft pounds. Easy math!

1700 miles since oil tank gasket installation, dry as a bone.Like previously stated, use only HALF the factory torque, with loctite.

12 inch pounds to 1 foot pound so 72 inch pounds would be 6 foot pounds ... Thats what BOP says to torque them.10-inch pounds = 1 ft pound. So, 72-inch pounds is 7.2 ft pounds. Easy math!
