Have a 2006 Yamaha RTX (1000) and looking to remove and replace the battery.Can anyone give me some advice on changing your own battery.

i have never done it but from what i've read on here remove airbox to expose batt, then i'm guessing but should be easy.

yes you have to remove the airbox which includes the pod as well

rsavy - take a look in my "rxrider's Turbo Garage" post, you'll find the link in my signature. It's all covered in there. I have done a battery relocation on my RX-1, the procedure will be exactly the same on the Apex.
