Have a 2006 Yamaha RTX (1000) and looking to remove and replace the battery. Can anyone give me some advice on changing your own battery.

Thanks!

i have never done it but from what i've read on here remove airbox to expose batt, then i'm guessing but should be easy.

Ulmer has a good photo description. You can find it in the first few posts of this forum entitled Sticky: Apex/Attak Frequently Asked Questions, then under Fluids: Engine Oil: Change Instructions with Pics.

rsavy - take a look in my "rxrider's Turbo Garage" post, you'll find the link in my signature. It's all covered in there. I have done a battery relocation on my RX-1, the procedure will be exactly the same on the Apex.

BTW - would you mind filling in your location in your user profile.
