I HAD MY SLED SITTING FOR 4 TO 5 WEEKS DUE TO NO SNOW.WHEN I WENT TO START IT THE BATTERY I WAS DEAD.THE SLED HAS BEEN STORED IN A GARAGE WITH A WOOD STOVE.SO THE GARAGE WAS HEATED UP 2 OR THREE TIMES A WEEK.IF THE KEY WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITON WOULD THAT DRAIN THE BATTERY.
silly question, I only ask beacuse it happened to me and I felt silly after it.

leavening the key on WILL drain the battery over long period of time say A week or more. I know cause I did it. and I checked with A multimeter there is A very small draw on the battery when you leave the key on. And regardless of the position of the kill switch. It is the keys position that matters.
