belt guard

Precision EFI belt guard for the win!! Love mine. Solid guards with great mounting structure using existing bolts instead of drilling into your into your panels

From a fabrication standpoint the guard requires much more burn table time with all those vents. The longer a part is on the table the more the part costs. You also have a welded joint which adds even more cost.

I think they will hold up well, but it's the ripple effect I'm concerned about. For those that have an intake I have no concerns, but for those that still have the stock air box make sure it stays in place if you blow a belt. If the belly pan protector deforms it could distort the upper guard and dislodge the air box away from the turbo intake tube. It's just a slip in fit that relies on the airbox staying fixed to the top guard. If the top guard moves the air box moves. A turbo drawing air at full strength after motor bounces off rev limiter with belt debris flying around under hood doesn't paint a pretty picture if the air box is dislodged....

They are having "issues" that are not resolved. The answer I got was "our hands are tied". From what info I got, family feud.

Good Point Travis.....It does look like "many'' here have CAI typically.

Travis I would like to see you update your design and have a similar connection to this one, for us CAI guys.

thanks...with no snow I have time to sweat the details....fwiw, this guard does not raise the stock belt guard....and I like that its one piece going up...the venting cut into the guard lends perfectly to an exterior frog skin type vent....still looking for which to choose there...

Otherwise, its barn of parts for me...very solid and priced right...
