Glad this is my biggest issue. Really bugs me. Anyone else have a annoying brake squeal? Any alternative pads available?

Changes

I believe I have tried everything the last 500mi to make the stock Skiis and Carbides work for me. Honestly they are better than I thought but still are a ski that darts on hardpack, pushes then bites causing ski lift or just plain pushing. Tried one at a time and combinations of ski shock Pressures either pushes or skilift, center shock spring backed off sled bottomed and made front end harsher while still pushing. Also played with coupler block. So I put center back where it was and put my Pilot 6.9's on. I like the limiters all the way out when cinched up started to make front end feel heavier. If these dont work I will try Tuners which sled should have come stock with. Cant wait to try this. Hopefully get it right first try otherwise will go through all the adjustments again. Doing one mod at a time and still havent put my Evols on. Those will be last mod I do I believe unless I add a bottle and clicker to rear shock.

I didnt post this since I wanted to see how it worked. Over 500mi on and no issues with belt just put in here like so. I jumped it many times no issues. Simple.

I did mine the same way. I have three tie straps holding the belt squeezed. 400 miles. No issues.
I did my Nytro the same way.

Yeah. The stock skis with the single carbide dart bad under certain conditions. I am putting my 6.9 pilots on this weekend.
What rubber stop did you use.

My brake does the same thing and to fix the carbides on the skis put on Woody's slim Jim 6 inch , totally changed the handling of the sled worth every penny.

Stock Viper ones. They are a bugger to get ski on though. Might be too tight. Ground a dull point on bolt end and that helped alot.

Same as on cars, brake squeal is caused from the pads vibrating against the caliper. I have had some success with brake squeal products on cars that's applied to the back of the pads. This can be of some use:

Another possible solution would be to bevel the edges of the pads if they aren't already, just like some auto manufacturers are doing.

Were trying a couple things. Doo pilots with snowtrackers, if they are not what we think they will be. the absolute best setup we found on the stock cat skis is the offset runners available. They are small carbides but they steer very easily and do not dart at all. They are precise when ridden properly. Were not throttle jockies in the corners both dad and I ride smooth fast and clean, backing out of the gas into a corner let the front end set then power applied near or after the apex. Smooth throttle transistion is very importation.

No doubt and I like alot of transfers limiters are all the way out and center shock is about in middle. It works! These skiis transformed my sled. I now have two options for cornering. Steer or pin it and slide the back end around. Never had that option! Can hoist the skiis at 60mph and STILL turn when I want. Very happy. Went on a 60mi ride. Just got back home. Trails were fast and awesome. Local guys head to Kewaunee/Alaska they are as good as it gets!

Now I can move on and put those Evols on. Surprisingly I bottomed the whole sled 2 or 3 times this morning at high speeds. Never thought that would happen since it was so stiff in the beginning. Only took a couple pics since time was short but this is how they were and NOBODY out, They must have partied to much! Happy New Year!

CA ADX 10" carbides. Pulled limiter strap to middle hole. Seems to have corrected ski lift in turns.

Have break squeal too. Wonder if brake squeal is from snow dust getting in from the cover?

anyone try curve skis
