They say a picture is worth a thousand words...so....

Top is Viper 8JP belt. Bottom is Gates Yamaha 8DN equivalent (didn't have another 8DN to take pic of) Note thickness of ribs and amount of contact surface on bottom belt.

the Viper belt is very black and leaves black on the clutches. Viper belt is not holding the power and with more and more as the belt gets older.

I took the Viper belt off and put it on the Nitro. my nitro clutches were completely shiny and look like brand new. after putting on the Viper belt, they were black instantly!

Not surprising, look at how much more surface area the Nytro belt has, and how much thicker the ribs are.
