I've been running a Razorback IR belt temp gage since 2018 (6+ years now) without any issues at all. Valuable tool to help assess clutching setup, along with when it's time to let off gas!
Great product.
One comment for something that might possibly be at play here Bob is gradual obstruction of the sensor due to gradual build up of belt and brake dust. I occasionally clean my sensor (which is located at about 1 o'clock on my secondary) with alcohol on a cotton swab. Just as we see brake dust and belt dust on clutches, shields, belly pan, side panel, it also accumulates on IR sensor too. So, I clean sensor several times a season and definitely see this dust on swab from sensor. That dust inhibits sensor performance (in my opinion) which might even include intermittent performance or error codes. So glad to read Razorback is taking care of this the right way. Tip of the cap to them! Rare in the modern world.
