What does everyone use?

Yamaha makes great CV boot covers that zip tie and velcro on??? Has anyone tried them?

I looked at Ricochet, PRM, and Aluminum Products. Are there others? Do I really need any better than stock? :ORC

On my own rides, my Raptor has full Armadillo Offroad armor and both of my Grizzly machines still carry the stock guards.

It's probably not real smart but my track record shows that I don't buy skid plates etc. until after I find that I need them. I took out the brake and rotor on the Raptor before I bought the plates. Punched a hole into the bottom of my snowmobile then bought a skid plate. Rolled my snowmobile, broke a rib then bought a TekVest for myself.

Hmm, maybe I should start looking for guards too.

I tore off 3 sets of the front facory plastic "A" arm gaurds before I bought aluminum ones. They're only held on by one little bolt .

Looking around, I have decided on a full set of PRM skids. Had them on my last machine and liked them.

Another style of a-arm skidplates that work well, bolt up nice, and are priced right are the Moose brand. They are only sold as a set of four and cost right around $120. We have sold and installed many of these and for the money I don't think they can be beat. I think we have a unit at the shop that currently has them on if I can get a photo of them installed I will post it.

I have used oxlite guards on 4x4's before I bought this one. I never lost a boot but then you never know. I probably wouldn't have lost one anyway. They are steel and are very tough.
