I have a 05 RX1 that is set up pretty good. I has 192 studs down the middle on a stock Ripsaw track. 48 or the studs are chissels. I have the limiter strap out but don't remember how much and transfer rod for full transfer. My sled hooks great on hard pack snow but on a hard packed road (almost ice like surface) is spins bad.
The track is starting to get bad and I will need a new one this year. What track works best for field or back yard drag racing? I tried to do a search but it seems like every thing but what I want comes up with the search. I know I read about tracks but I can't find it any where.
If I remember right the Cobra track was a favorate. Something about the pitch was mentioned.
I know this is the Apex form but this is about a track that will work on both machines.
Thanks Bruce

Best track
Ok, forget the Cobra, I don't want a 1.325 lug. What about the Predator?
Maybe even a 1"

Many people were going crazy for the 6 pitch predator and Im sure they come in 1" as well. The 6 pitch is a proven tough track!
Now the track many people including myself like is the cobra.

I had the 1" Predator and I didn't like it much, spun like crazy on my 05 RX1. The 1.25 (9834 136" ) is currently what I'm after. If I find one cheap I'm buying it. I had the 9833 on my 03 RX-1. Best track I've ever owned.
Cobra is a cool track. I just think it might be a bit tall for alot of high speed runs. If I didn't do so many high speed trails, I'd be on a Cobra.

The chassis is the same pretty much.. I use 1.450's and it's almost night and day difference on my Apex. I had 1.325's and it just did not cut it. I put 1.450's and that did the trick.
