Dealer got a call to set up the '08 ride. The dealer rep was not as tight lipped as in previous years... and it all looks impressive.

(I feel better about printing this now as our good neighbours to the south of Lake Ontario have been pounded with snow the last couple of days. Some 60-80 inches and more on the way).

Dealer rep said you definitely do not want to miss the ride this year. He said there will be a non-aspirated sled coming... and yes... it will come with a 3 year warranty. The other big news is the 3 cylinder will find its way into a Phazer chassis. Choices... choices... choices.

PS
On a side note, I got my first ride on a MCX Turbo Apex last night. Owner had ordered Allen's Turbo kit, and it showed up yesterday. All I can say... this is one sic ride. I've raced asphalt for the past couple of years and had the pleasure of running a friend’s improved ice sled a few years back... but this experience easily tops them all.

Jeff.

Non 'naturally-asperated' (sorry) is correct... as for T or SC... all he said was that it was very trailable.

Haven't made it up your way yet this year... sticking closer to home. Guess I'll just have to 'get me one of those' so we can head up there and do some runs togther!

How awesome would it be to see a 144" Apex with a small SC putting out 225 HP. Stud the hell out of it and end the discussion once and for all as to who the King of the Lake is.

3cyl in a phazer would be kinda heavy for that chassie dont you think? I dont like that idea, it will take away from the modding and aftrmrkt proudcts for the 3cyl's we have know. right?

Now I'm dreaming, non natural aspiring Apex/Phazer supersled. 18 inches of rear travel, 14 inches of front travel, 225 hp turn key supercharged, trail and or lake racer. adjustable riser, seat height, windscreen, and horsepower!!!Wow!!!!!!!!! That would be awesome. and ah hell, it's only a dream :ORC

I would be shocked to see a turbo or supercharger on the 4 holer. More likely to see it on either the twin or triple. Think about a triple bumped up to 130 ish on it's own and then turbo or supercharger bringing it up to 175 - 180. That's more like what you might see.

They'd hear a collective drop from all the drool hitting the floor if they did that.

We are getting near, and now the real rumors will start hitting the post waves! It is fun to ride the waves and to think what might be.... :flag:

I'll bet it's a turbo PHAZER (2-cyl) to bump up the HP to about 110.
Why only 110 HP arent the turbos and superchargers out there now getting 130 to 140. Ok, I am just sounding greedy!

I agree. Yamaha still has the heavy weight image so I would imagine they would put a turbo on the smaller lighter engines first. Frankly, I think it would pretty cool if they came out with a factory warranted turbo.

Do you suppose the infamous "hole" was a pre turbo test of some sort for the Phazer?? hmmm...........
