I have a 2016 SR Viper RTX DX (129 track) and just picked up a barely used Big Venom Clutch Kit.
Can anyone tell me what the weight setup would be on the heavy hitter arms as a starting point. I weigh 190 lbs and the sled is completely stock but studded.

Here is what I received when i bought mine. You should probably call Lonn at Thunder Products and he could tell you more specifically as I'm not sure you have a can and airbox mod like I do.
The weights should have come setup....but if not, this is where they should be...
For someone heavier using airbox/exhaust mods.
48.2 Heavy Hitters base – ¾ Allen in heel, 3/8 aluminum in center with 3/8 steel and a thin washer in the tip. Stock primary spring (Blue Silver Blue) with a glide washer on each end of the primary spring. Secondary setup was Midnight Blue set at 6-2 with the stock 43° helix. RPM’s should be real close to 9,200 (this was with an 8DN belt. Many are switching over from the stock 8JP belt to the 8DN)

As a newbie to this sled and this site I am astounded by the knowledge and the help available to someone like me. Thank you so much for your response. My sled has no airbox mod and no aftermarket can (yet)...lol
I just need a starting point as the kit was on a 137 track last year but I want it to work on my 129

- Yamaha sr viper 15 ltx dx, mpi 190 turbo, straight line header, 38" mtx front end, mtx steering, mtx seat, xtx 141" skid and 2.25" power claw track
2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
Shouldn't be much difference as both skids are coupled, track lug depth too unless it was on an le with 1.7 track. As a newbie to this sled and this site I am astounded by the knowledge and the help available to someone like me. Put it in the way you got it from the person who had it. Wrap secondary at 6-1 with midnight blue spring. Then run it and check rpm's. Should be between 8900-9000. Pm either me or NOS-PRO if you need more help as we work with thunder products developing the kits. Thanks.

I have a 2014 viper ltx dx and I recently bought a used big venom kit. It came off a xtx. Should I be making some changes before I install it tonight?

It should be good if both sleds were stock. Set secondary at 6-1. Pm me if you need more info or to do adjustments if necessary. Should be 8900-9000 rpm.

I installed my big venom kit last night. Here are my results
Max rpm between 8880 and 8960
Top speed on a snow covered side road -2 degrees Celsius 98.5 mph
Engagement is around 2800.
I'm going to run vs my buddies stock viper to compare.
One thing I noticed is my belt is sitting abit low in my secondary

Take a pic of where it is sitting and post. How much is a little bit. Should be 1mm above edge to 1mm below edge of secondary.

I hate to be that guy that brings up an old forum, but I also bought a big venom clutch kit previously owned and was wondering if this is the right setup for my sled (2016 ltx stock).
I've installed it and the sled won't engage till 3200rpm. Secondary midnight blue spring is at 1 and 6. The weights have a 3/4 Allen in heel. Can anyone help me with some know how please
