Remember what my build here is based off of.....the old SRX.....which was a BAD #*$&@ SLED which dared you to ride it and KICKED EVERYONE elses #*$&@ doing it. This is the 20th century version of that sled......A RTX-T a BAD #*$&@ sled that will ROCK YOUR WORLD and CRUSH EVERYTHING in it's Path other than J.M's sled :tg: So it has to look HOTT & and have the Power to Back It Up Homes that's all :flag:

I totally agree with you!! ;)! Keep on and get finished, we all want to see it done ;-)

...This Ain't NO TRAILER QUEEN....BRING IT :die

Good to hear.... Cheers...

All you need now are GOLD TEETH!!!

Well.....I'm not that happy with the texture of the plastic, I'm thinking of sanding them right down and starting over on these skis. I need to wet sand them way smoother and then base coat them Yellow or Black to fill in the small uneven spots, then repaint them Gold and then C.C. them :flag:

Larry, what if you spayed them with a build up primer then sand smooth, then base coat clear coat? This is how your panels were done. Plastic was thouroughly cleaned then treated with an adheasion promoter before shot with the primer.

The R & D on your matching suit looks to be almost complete.

ABSOLUTELY....I should of used a International 251 Epoxy Primer which gives you both the flexablity and build up I needed. I've used it before on panels that see a lot of movement You can fold plastic panels right in half and it will not crack. If you see the panel below, it wasn't even sanded and it took away the grainy finish the panels have. and I can spray 4 or 5 mils of paint wet and get about 3.0 mils dry and completely fill in the skis.

Also, you will need a ton of flex agent in that paint or those will crack like mad.

Actually not...Yes those things probably flex alot, but with todays paints for plastic there is a lot of Elasticity in them. The secret really is not to go to thick with the paint use a Slow Dry Clear and be patient in the drying time and not cut any corners.

I still expect to see some wear on them anyways so I can always touch them up in the summer....I have to have something to do :flag:
