Anyone else have problem with the brakes ?, Just checking my sled over before the season starts and to my surprise my brake pad on the right side of the rotor is worn to the point it's all metal rubbing the rotor. The left is just like new. Are these parts under warranty ? The brake don't be used alot LOL.

obviously was a pad hung up...

not trying to be a smarty...are you sure its not the parking brake pad?

it's not the parking brake. it's the actuall brake. the park brake is actually a seperate unit all together on the yamaha 4 strokes.

If the caliper is bad it should be covered under extended warranty but if it was froze up probably not. I would check with your dealer because the parts cant be cheap.

ya we all know that...we just werent sure you knew....sounds like it hung up...sometimes with sleds not protected from the elements....like on an open trailer even with a cover will get corrosion in key areas you never thought possible...and maybe that caused the pad to hang up...Ive never heard of a pad hanging up though

got it taken off and dropped off at the dealer, First one he seen worn like this to. especially when the sled is never left out in the weather alway garage kept every night. it may be covered on the warranty( i hope) . thanks all
