break disc for nytro xtx

Is it ok to drill the break disc? or is there a racing break disc out there, my breaks are burning during race. made some holes on the hood in front and back of breaks, works abit still overheating the breaks

Holes can cause some cracking. I would look for other pads. Holes also allow the gases to escape not really cool the brakes. Proper ventilation cools brakes.

Question is are you having brake fade???

What type of racing and what failure?? Burning brakes or fading. Need a bit more info to be bale to help

It's a cross country race, sparks coming from the break pads last night when we were tasting the nytro. My guess is when my driver hits the breaks closing to each corner they would start heating.

How often are you changing them we change them before each race. They might be metal to metal. If that the case a new disc will not change anything

We have some other setups if he keeps burning them off. However we only had issues on ice. Terrian we had no issues.

Now i know what u mean by changing the break pads after every race would be nice to get ur other setting, we have 10 and 15 laps races i think on the 15 lap race the pads are going to be gone. had 1 or 2mm left on the break pads after the 10 lap race

Ice racing or Snow? If snow your driver almost has to be dragging the brake, nothing will fix that other than slapping your driver LOL

We have our circuit race on the sea ice started 4 weeks ago every sunday, last sunday was my nytro's first race and the drivers first yamaha to race with. The track is mostly snow just the turns are ice, there will be more snow soon too and yes the xtx kicked #*$&@ from start to finish If no ones willing to help there fellow yamaha, i have till april to figure out the nytro for the big races

I am trying to help ju st tryingto get an und erstanding so i can give u the right info. I have years racing tge nytro
