The bearing still spins like new no blueing no rough spots. Shaft broke to the inside of the bearing not clutch side. Shaft broke clean no twist.

2008 Phazer GT broken jackshaft
I have an 08 Phazer with 5900 miles. Just had the identical failure last weekend. Secondary shaft broke in the same spot as the photo in your post. Bearing next to sheave was fine also. The break had some rust in it so must have been weak for a while.
Have everything apart and just ordered replacements parts today. Will replace other items that I found were bad during disassembly.

RollieP and Phazme I realize this is an old post but I just had the same thing happen to a 2008. Broke exactly the same spot, Bearings were replaced last year, did you guys just replace the left side of the shaft as it comes out of the reverse or swap out the entire assembly?
