I broke my pivot arm in my skid on my O7 fx and a skid bolt worked it's way out a little and ovaled the the skid rail hole out. Where do I get a better and stronger parts?

Do a search, lots of info. There was an update for 08.

I'm reading a lot of horror stories here upon my research and finding out that fixing one thing leads to another thing breaking. I'm not sure which direction to go

They make an updated one for 2014 so I would buy that one. You could find an updated 08 arm and it would be fine unless your brutal on it. There is a forged aluminum pivot that should be installed if your sled doesn't have it. Once the arm and pivot are replaced you should be OK. Your going to have to have the ovaled hole in the skid repaired. Make sure loctite all your bolts so it doesn't happen again.
