Broken Secondary Rollers

I have been running all Thunder Products Clutching since my 17 LTX SE had 350 miles on it with a TD Power Trail tune. This past weekend while out riding I found that all 3 of my TP secondary rollers were gone and that had gouged out my Dalton 33/35 helix. There is about 4000 miles on the rollers. They looked good before this last trip.

What could cause all 3 to break? Everything has been great up to this point.

They obviously are not up to the task and strong enough, they get old, brittle and then break, I've seen these broken and MIA in the past. Replace them with Hi-Torque rollers and replace the helix while your at it.

The Hi-Torque ones last longer without breaking? I see that they are different material than the TP ones. What are the stainless washers for that come with them? For shimming one side of the roller or something?

Absolutely stronger and better, easier rolling. I've only ever seen one Hi-Torque Roller fail, and it didn't completely fail, but just delaminated due to an improperly cut helix on a ski-doo.

That thrust washer is nice as the stock rollers especially start to wear into the casting.

I've also seen that steel washer grind/wear right into the casting on the winders too with miles.
 
I have had good luck with the OEM late model rollers. I started out with the TP rollers when the sled was new but I went back to the OEM ones around 4000 miles ago and they still look good.

Did you have an issue with the TP rollers?

What's the solution then? Just replace the whole sheave half in time?
The stock rollers wear into that the most I find.
I usually use the hi-torque kit, but there are many that I've switched out to the stock Cat rollers.
