Building the Nytwinder

Yamaha was way more efficient with their use of space on the sleds they built. There's crazy room all around this motor in this chassis. I dont see why an Apex motor wouldn't fit. The water outlet on the tunnel cooler might need moved for header clearance. Wont know till you go

Hmmm that means an Apex engine would drop in…. I have a sidewinder with no motor and a spare apex engine…
CR Racing makes a kit to put the Apex motor in the sidewinder.

Great job Dan! Now I understand why all your supercharger parts were for sale!

The apex motor does fit perfect in the sidewinder. the one back motormount tab closest to the chaincase needs to be cut then the motor will drop right into the back mount (use the apex rear bolt shortened, sidewinder one is too short), for the front the spacing is the same, you just need to weld ears to the existing front mounts as they are lower. sit the front of the engine just off the front frame and your clutch alignment is dead on. im making a thread on this build now.

J&S knock control ( just in case type of thing). Test different skis. Revise turbo inlet ducting. Rear shock testing.

Started on the rear bumper and running boards. These parts came from CRracing. Coolant for the air to water intercooler will run through these. Inner tunnel braces and exterior braces installed.
are the inner tunnel braces part of the bumper kit or where did you get those?

Well ripped the left side suspension off. Hit a rock wall. Did ride it out to the parking lot though
