I just got my used..(but like new) set of blue skis !!

I went to install them and fit great but the black rubber bumper that goes between the skis and the spindle doesnt fit tight like the OE one!!

WHATS WRONG??

IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY??

THanks!

Welterracer, Did they come off a Yamaha ? If not, then I think you will need a seperate mounting kit, for a yamaha.

SUpposedly they came off of a VIPER!! They Bolt on great..Very tight.. But there is an extra 1/4 inch or more of space between the ruber block and the ski...

What rubber did you use and their is a back and front on rubber.

Jim

All i got with the skis is ....the skis and the bolts...

I used the OE rubber block that goes between the bracket and the spindle !!

Shim it.
Like we do to get rid of darting on the Riceburners.
Try a quarter inch shim or so on the back bottom of the saddle rubber.
If the ski's are slightly tipped up after putting the shim in then you are probably good to go.
You may want to just try double sided tape for the first ride.
If you like it , glue and screw.
My Warrior with the stock ski's had a slight gap from the factory at the back.
Shimmed it with .2" rubber and it is perfect. I have not seen a need for aftermarket ski's for the type of riding I do.

Welter, you should have got a set of rubber mounts with the skiis.I got a set for my RX-1 & they have a set of rubber saddles that fit perfect.
