Next thing you know Yamaha turbos will be band from competition. Like every thing else or there own special class . Lol

33 & 50 are pulling away since Hopedale. Now about 30-35 km in front of 21 Doos.

 

[Motorhead]

Many talking and tracking many teams on this endurance type race. Home boys from that area with their Winders are really doing good. I have to think that with any motor sport these boys know what part of that course gives them the edge and allows them to exploit that edge and cause others to over perform their sleds in order to keep it close.

Would surely like to see a documentary after this race is done, you know maybe discussing strategy pertaining to many things, but also sled choices, expected weather, trail conditions and other stuff like what is allowed for mods when setting up a sled, and what is allowed on the trail during competition and at the rest stops!

Just really cool I think!

Team Villain is out of Maine and has won the last two races I was told! They were in 1st place for the first four stops according to the online Leaderboard, but have dropped back and are now in 8th.

Other fact that I heard about? Oldest driver is 73 and youngest is 20 per their site, and my wife who seems more intrigued then I at first.

She knows that my buddy and I are off tomorrow on a county snowmobile trip for the week, and knows our pace would rival most, even at our age. But she also knows that we are also fast in only the safe places, but in the county Holy #*$&@ that is a lot of places!!! Yeah baby, can you tell I am excited.

No testing on this trip, just ride ride and ride...
