I have a 2007 RTX Apex. And would like to get a two up seat from a venture or something when I have my kids with me.
Has anyone done this and will it work?
I tried to search down pre-2008 2-up'ers but cant find a picture.
Thanks for the help....O ya, if it works I will be in the market for one.

While the aforementioned "Jack seat" does provide another spot for a rider, it certainly would not be very comfortable. These seats are hard and creates a very tippy effect for the whole sled. It might be a good short term, short ride solution though.
I don't know how easy/difficult it would be to install a Venture seat on an Apex as you certainly would have to extend the tunnel, as well as relocate the muffler and accompanying shields, plastic covers, taillight and hardware, etc.
I haven't seen anyone here go through all that trouble here yet...anyone have pics of this?

x2 - exactly correct based on my RX experience

Seat jack is a good place for a child on a short, slow ride.

Depending upon how big you are, you might be able to get away with just an adjustable back rest to help keep them on the sled. I have ridden two up on my '06 apex rtx with stock setup.

I think I found a different kimpex backrest that pivoted and could easily be used for 1-up riding as well by adjusting the cranks at the lower pivot point. Keep your eyes and ears out for it if interested.
