Here is a rough cut of the bracket reinforcements I am making!!
Still needs to be trimmed to fit perfectly , drilled

then powdercoated

Plan on drilling out the 3 holes in the oem bracket
And adding one hole on the top to fasten it!

Hellflyer (member here ) just contacted me and is sending me aluminum brazing rods to try to plug the hole and redrill first!!
If that doesn't work I will use the brackets I fabricated

Just a quick ? When you took off your tank, do you have any spots where the tank is rubbing on the tunnel? I have one spot where is rubbed pretty bad, right side just behind where the rubber pads are on those raised parts on the tunnel.

Yes I just checked !! The other side has heat tape !
Good eye! I'll make sure to add a peice of heat tape or rubber

Mine is exactly like yours, more worn on the right.
