Hey guys, just wondering what everyone sets their screws at when syncronizing their carbs.
On my 2003 I had my carbs cleaned, sync'd and set the screws at 2 turns out each and dropped my needles 1/2 clip.
I know from factory the pilot screws are all staggered for EPA requirements but I am taking it in tomorrow to have a guy set it up and not sure what to tell him....(2 turns, 2-1/4 turns or 2-1/2 turns?)
FYI...I have a 2005 RX1 and ride between 500-1000ft. ASL.
Thanks,
John

2 turns is the factory recommendation I believe.

Yes, 2 turns out is according to the manual I have. Just wondering if anyone has tried anything else or if it is different on the 2005's?

Always had the best luck with 2 turns out on any year RX-1/Warrior running the stock air box.

Everyone - I raced all this year, checking carb sync every month. I noticed when I would get right on the money, it would burble a little bit, when the clutch side carb was set even with the other 3. I talked to Allen, Srxspec, and he said 2 turns out would be good. I checked the carbs, and that 1 carb was at 3/4 turn out! I checked them all, and set them to 2 turns out. WOW, were they off!!!!
I fired up the sled, and it started to take off! I synced the carbs in, and the sled is so snappy now!
THANKS ALLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would the settings be with air filter kits?

Freddie suggested 1.75 - 2 for me (Bender pipe) So I set them all to 1.75 turns, synched-them, and ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM. No burbles, hesitations, or popping at all.
BTW: Get a Morgan Carbtune II if you don't already have one - They're SWEET!

set mine at 2 1/4 turns out. burbles!!!!! how does it work the higher number the screws are out the richer
got filters raised needle 1 slot and 2 1/4 out on fuel screw. runs rich at idle and cruising slow burbles alot. what would be better dropping needle or turning screw to 2 turns.
