What's every one think about the new Z10 Cfmoto turbo?

I have not read anything other than the press release but was thinking that at 143HP output that turbo isn't working very hard.

I’m sure it’s set up on the safer side since it’s a new product and gives aftermarket guys a chance to bump it up.

MSC got18 hp on the zforce 950, I suspect it should be in the high 160's when they get a hold of itI have not read anything other than the press release but was thinking that at 143HP output that turbo isn't working very hard.

Yamaha has always been we build you sell company and listens very little to any real good feed back.It's too bad yamaha don't listen to there customers like cfmoto does

A 998 @ 140HP with a turbo is anemic, its under performing for the potential airflow. An NA 998 can create 140HP safely. The only reason to limit it to that is EPA regulations but Polaris has 180HP machines so.. it is likely design limitations.I’m sure it’s set up on the safer side since it’s a new product and gives aftermarket guys a chance to bump it up.
Interesting though is the relationship between Yamaha and one of its manufacturing partners who are also related to CFMoto.

Best case, it is a deal cut with Yamaha but limited in HP for some reason (to make room for a HO version?), worst case its a clone, middle ground is that is an in house design. Lets hope it can take some boost.

I watched the dealer show live streamed and have also watched a number of youtube influencers with their reports from the show here in MN. As well as their test drive days here as well.
No it is not a Yamaha engine, and yes it is tuned to a safe level leaving room for the aftermarket and to be tuned up later once given a year to settle into the market.
Honestly, CFMoto has stepped up their game each year over the past decade. This release hits at the sub $20K pricepoint for a sport SXS with Apple car play and other very cool features standard! I'm not here to promote or approve, just inform. From the last few CFMoto machines I have ridden, they have stepped up their game for sure.
For those of us that don't want to spend $38K plus for a turbo sport machine, this is the answer. And CFMoto also had a machine that looks nearly identical to the Polaris Xpedition ADV 5 seater. It was in the dealer literature, but was not announced. Spy photos are floating around and if they do release it, you may find folks like polaris offering up a budget version of their RZR and Xpedition soon.
I do believe they sensed this release, as they did offer up some lower priced options with their 2025 announcement.

BTW, the 2025's will be on display at Haydays tomorrow. It would be cool if they were in the test drive fleet, but I doubt that will happen. I would like to drive the new Xpedition, Maverick R, and possibly the Ranger XD.

I got a chance to look over the New CFmoto machines. I was totally bummed that they scrapped the SXS test track for a pit area for the mud runs. That being said, the mud runs were fun to watch and drew bigger crowds than the grass drags.

Sure is crazy the amount of money you have to pay to park and get in. No wonder attendance is low. Just like the snowmobile USA shows they too may fall.

It was a chuckle that we pre bought tickets for $30, plus fees, and taxes and it comes to $36 or so. It was $40 at the door.
So we only saved $4, but we also walked past a line of 50 waiting to buy tickets, so there was that. Yes, folks argue that nobody should pay that much for a swap meet. But we only walked like 3 aisles of the 30+ acres of swap. And still spent all day seeing new things that made the admission worth it. I guess, moral of the story, if they still meet the numbers, they can charge what they want to.
Food lines were flat out stupid though. I found myself just searching for anything that was not 40 people deep. Never found one other than some swedish meat sticks. I passed, and saved for the beer tent near the drags as there was no line there.
Parking for us has always been $20 from what I can remember, possibly less. But then again, I think most events we pay plenty. It sure was easy to get out this year, as I think many folks bailed earlier as it was way more sun than they expected to get. As it got really nice out for sure.
