I dont believe I ever checked these and am kicking myself now. Cant get at most of them because track is in way so would have to drop suspension and push track up and out of way to do the rest. The easy ones were very loose. I would say these bolts were 3 turns loose. I did these because my buddy with a 16 Cat 800 noticed his real loose and he only has 34oo mi on. Its the same #*$&@ we all have and this chassis flexes like a Red Solo Cup. Check them all.

Added to the list of things to do this summer!
-Reverse Detent kit
-Modify airflow through engine compartment
-Eliminate Tri-hub
-Check chaincase bolts
-Repack driveline bearings since I'm close to 2000 miles.

Looks like more than just loose fasteners going on there.

Ya steve, them are torxhead on the inside, why I know this,is when the wreck happened,it pinched them so hard,we had to portapower the side of tunnel apart to cut them off,in order to remove chaincase,so we could get driveshaft out with track,so mine are now tight, man something else to watch, good catch steve.

I just never washed it from last ride Sunday. What are you implying?
I was wondering what this stuff was?

Even really dirty, can't say that I've seen this one mine.

Thanks for the heads up on the bolts.

That’s where the plate from repair is. Whole sled had that crap on it. Keep in mind my buddies 16 is immaculate and bolts were still very loose.

Also check these bolts. Mine was loose on both side. Clutch side in the pic.

Ah-ha! Doing some maintenance on the XF, and my bolts were lose. One of them needed more than a complete turn! Thanks for the heads-up Cannondale! Love this site!
