Copied from a Hardcoresledder.com thread under the Apex section:
We went riding last weekend with 3 new apex's and on the one apex we noticed there was some wear on the trac. When we got looking a little closer we noticed a lot of damage to the underneith of the tunnle to all three sleds. The support braket was broke and the tunnle was cracked outward about 1 inch on one sled. We took our sleds into Red Deer Power sports and got looking at all the new sleds and when the suspension is compressed the trac is rubbing the support braket and tunnle. Pic's were taken and sent to yamaha. The guys at Red Deer Yamaha have got skid plates made to protect our tracs from catching the braket until yamaha can come up with a fix.

Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? Anything we need to check?

No pics were posted at this time on the other site.

Why would this happen all of a sudden...come on , this is the same track and tunnel that was on the RX1.... :die

Dirk...behave...damn it

I really can't see how this can happen. The tunnels and suspensions are almost the same as the RX-1's.

I am sure the thread was talking about Apex mountains. Post was not specific and it was posted in the turbo section so there was some confusion.

On these sleds they were mountain apex's but i was told that it is happening on the short track modles to.

That came from the tread on Hardcore sledder.

I owned a RX-1 Just like 90% of the other memebers of the site that now own Apex's. this seems like a bogus report.

Well damn it, this needs to be more specific...you will get a bunch of Apex owners all pissed about nothing.

Tom, you should just delete this post now, before the whole site gets blown out...... Maybe lock it and put it as a sticky.....
