checking to make sure on tdc of #4

putting a new head gasket it and when the head was off someone turned my motor of by the stator i know i need to be on tdc of # 4 do i need to be on the firing or just tdc with the lines lined up?

without the head on, its all the same

I would think there should be a mark to line up! Just set it tdc on 4 if no mark rotate to tdc again should be a mark!

that what i was figuring but just making sure spendy motors to be wrecking before out of the shop haha
