Clip the track or not

I just cut all the windows out, should i clip or not, the last thing i want is loose & flying clips, if i do clip, whats the best clips & tool to crimp, thanx.

You don't have to clip the track, if you don't want to. But if you do, you will need a tool to get over the taller 1.25" lugs on every other opened window. I suppose you could also cut the lugs down 1/4" in those spots too???

I used camoplast clips and I got them from Spanky's Powersports in Alanson, MI. As for the tool - You can start with any (borrowed) crimp tool, until you get to the full height lugs. For that, I took the track to a Doo dealer (which had to order the tool to finish the job) cheaper than the new tool would've cost me.

2500 miles on the punching/clips, and none have "flown" off. 7000 miles on the track and it's holding up quite well.

thanx 4fight, i think you talked me out of clipping, what are the advantages of fully clipped track, just drag or does it help with ratcheting, seeing that camoplast clips have that shoulder sticking up.
