Clutch experts, Aluminum Windage Plates?

I know this is a old post but you top speed men should look at it. I personally saw a 2mph gain in the top speed of my rx1. Same day same conditions. They are light, cheap and can be added or taken off in little time.My clutches also never ran any hotter with them on.The so called king of the lake machz uses them too.

Windage plate

SRXSPEC, let me get this right. You're telling me that by bolting on this $30 windage plate, I will see 3-5 more mph on topend? Do you sell these plates, and if you do, is this 3-5 mph guarranteed or your money back? Thanks.

Highmiler, the test data was using a sled set up specifically for speed runs (lowered, speed track, etc). I do not sell the plates, sorry. In most trail applications you probably will see less of a gain. For $30 what's it gonna hurt to give it a try?

It put my vector 8mph faster on top=end with the plates installed and I can grab my clutch with my bare hand after a run. Put them on all my sleds cheap speed.

I have them and had to tow my buddy's polaris 6 miles to the road and I stopped once to check my clutches in fear of overheating not just because of the plates but overheating in general and the clutches where cool to the touch I could pout my hand right on them no problems

here is a pic of the ones on the srx

The ones on the srx are steel. The ones from maximum performance are aluminum. They also sell a screw kit for the plates.Put a little loctite on each screw and screw them in the threaded holes that are already there. The whole job takes about 5 min. They seem to gain almost 2 mph on my apexgt on the same day in the same conditions. The clutches also never get hot.
