I am trying to fix the clutch noise at idle and i know there is a fix for this and the Yamaha dealer did not know what i was talking about so i need the bullitin # or the part # so i can tell them how to do their job.
It is for the 2003 RX1. Any info will help. Thanks in advance.

There is no fix for clutch noise for RX1. The fix is for RS sleds, which have a rattle due to the further separated torque pulses of the tripple. On RX, it is the reduction gear that rattles a little.

Sorry, no. Best I can suggest is to use the search, or post question in the RS forum.

Exactly! Synching carbs is good, but has very little effect.

The idle is the ticket. I have mine set to 1900 - 2000 rpm. No rattle there at all and still way below where the clutch engages. I'm not sure why Yammi idles them so low anyway. The high lift cams just run too rough down there to keep teh gear reduction smooth. I don't believe the rattle has any ill effect on the sled, but it sure is annoying.
