Hey all. Just a quick question. Bought a whole new clutch from yami as I blew mine to smithereens last spring. j have stock nytro weights and black vlue black spring in it now. Whats everyone running for weights or clutch kit. Would heavier weights and spring mack it cat walk more? Top end isnt a concern

Ulmer Racing, Schmidt bros racing, Heel clickers drag N flies or 2 speeds are probably the most popular on here. I got a Ulmer kit this year after trying out some others the last few years

Did you run Schmidt Brothers clutching? If yes, how was it? I am running stage 2 this year. ;)!

Does the Schmidt stage II really give 5 to 10 mph top end? Also how is the mid range compared to stock ? I'm considering that clutch kit but not quite convinced.

Put the SB on last year 2010 rtx se the thing flys. Chris stands behind his kits and will help you with anything. They all are good but imo his is the best'

Love my comfort clutch kit by SB. Its a lot easier loading and unloading off trailer and it rips.

What are you running for gearing? If you want to be catwalking and top end isn't a concern if you don't already have a 19t top sprocket start there!!

I am running SBR stage II and love it. Big improvement over the DNF kit I had before.

Revster what do notice the most for change(s) from DnF's to SBR kit?

Really Like my SB clutch. All over gains. More so low, and mid. I have over 3500 problem free miles with his set up. Also, would say to Chris is awesome to work with

Had SBR kit installed this summer. Have not run it yet. Soon and very soon plan to ride.

The DNF was really hard to tune. I messed with it for a while changed springs chatted back and forth with Turk but couldn't get it to do what I wanted. I wanted quick reacting clutches, quick to the power band and quick to backshift. My DNFs were very inconsistent, in some snow I'd be under reving then bouncing off the rev limiter on the hard packed. I couldn't find a happy medium.

Then I wore a flat spot in my DNF weights to they were garbage.

The SBR kit made a huge improvement to my sled. I can easily go from powder to hard packed and the clutches perform well in both. ...and it worked awesome in the mountains!!
