I put this on the nitrous section, but didn't know if it should be here. How do you go about setting up a clutch for NOS? Thinking of a 30 or 40lb shot. I understand the principles behind setting up a clutch for regular linear boost like a supercharger. But Nitrous confuses me. Making me think you need a certain spring and weights for normal trail riding. Than more weight, and a heavier spring for the extra boost. Do you just pick a happy medium? Do you use something totally differnet? Any help would be appreciated. Putting the lawndoctors setup on a Apex.

:nos :rocks:

usually add alittle more weight clutching a sled for nitrous is way slower then not clutching for nitrous long as you are not hitting the rev limter form all are testing. That's what Is Good about the ulmer pc 3 on the apex's you can raise the rev limiter.

Depending what you want to invest in total cash you can do it numerous ways.

Option 1: Set it up to rev 10,200 or so with no nitrous (you will give up a little performance) and let it run 10,800-11,000 on the nitrous.

Option 2: If you're only going to use nitrous out on the lake then you can swap helix/spring and have optimum performance for both, but if you try to use nitrous with the trail helix in it will hit the rev limiter.

Option 3: Get setup with a PCIII, Ignition Module, give me your sleds serial number and I can raise the rev limiter to 11,700 rpm. Then you can clutch it at 10,800 off the nitrous and just let it rev on the nitrous.
