2009 Phazer MTX
Stock 17/41 is as low as you can go. The Phazer based venture has a 45 tooth lower gear so that chain and sprocket MAY or MAY NOT work. I haven't gotten to look at the chain case on one yet. I haven't seen anything lower than 17t for the top either. Looking at the alternate drive setting on the parts list shows 4 different upper gears, 4 lower gears, and 2 chains. The list doesn't give the teeth count though. We know the uppers are 17/18/19/20.

I have a 151 on my phaser and I have a 17/41 on it and the sled pulls perfect the chain case should have enough room if you go with a bigger bottom gear but I think the 17/41 will turn that track

I went with a 46 on mine with my 153. With the 3" pitch drivers clutching is about spot on.
