Clutching

Been running it all winter in a stock sled. Ran for 200 miles @ 60degrees then down to 40 degrees for another 400 plus miles. Sled runs great with little belt wear and no blown belts. Great back shift also at 40 and very easy to install.

Running in both my sleds, XTX Viper and XTX sidewinder. 3-2 is working well for me, but I am also running off-trail. for those that I install kits for ....3-1 for just trail guys is getting great fuel mileage and performance.

Switched over to orange secondary spring and new helix after cooking my second belt under 500 miles. Since I only have 400 miles of trouble free miles. I have spring set at 50.

I ran the orange spring wrapped at 3-3 all winter along with the big venom clutch kit and TP 33/35 helix never had an issue at all!! I also run the 8dn belt since new and am still on original belt with 2300 miles on it. 1200 miles with the TP set up.

whose studded and whos not here
I am studded 4/2 1.450s down the middle. Completely stock except for helix and spring and studs. New secondary rollers Yamaha installed because of flat spot. Still blew a belt after that than I made the switch

I'm running it at 50 degrees with heavy hitters and Hurricane's 270 race tune. Over 1000 miles on ultimax belt. I ran with the holeshot helix at first but after some people were saying you shouldn't run that with the race tune, I switched back to the stock helix. I didn't have problems though either way. Only thing I'm disappointed with is mileage....I'm seeing about 10 mpg give or take with my setup.

I'm running similar with hurricane race turn my helix is 35/37 running at 50 but I have Dalton adjustable weights and I'm getting 15 miles per gallon ,and that's driving crazy and geared low LOL

I think I might've liked 40° better but top RPMs were down and weights were already empty so for now need to leave it on 50°,still down a little RPMs on top end but don't want to set it on 60°

I have the spring on 70 degree. Viper turbo 270hk. 40 degree tp roller secondary. Gona test it at 50 but it works really good for me

Johan - You can really make that sled dance ;)!

So glad we got together on clutching that monster
