I know there are trade offs...want reliability and good trail power!! Oh yea, and some high speed lake blasts. The MPI sled has low comp pistons...

THoughts? How about under hood heat issues?

If the MPI has the low cr pistons I think I would jump on that. Good power on pump gas and never worry about a cracked header.

If you use the calculator above depending on how low you go on CR you can run 230-250hp out of the MPI on 91 octane fuel.

Man the MPI is ART WORK!!!! Go with that hands down! Looks like Yamaha put it on stock so so CLEAN!!!!

You will not be disappointed with mpi and you won't have to worry about under hood heat.

Add an rb3 fuel / timing controlto it and it will be great for the insane trail rider, wheelie s all the time

Ya I would recommend the MPI had 2 of them , I guess the thing I like is nothing melts under the hood and power right now!

Yea the power right now is UNREAL RIGHT NOW!!! HAHAHAHAH

I am so torn on this one....the CPR setup is very nice as well. Its an 07 RTX with a 136 kit, under tunnel exhaust with an aftermarket seat, large rear custom built heat exchanger, very nice machine with only 990 miles.

The Charged sled is a Hauck Lim with yellow, chrome frnt end, low comp pistons, etc etc. I really want them both. Just want a reliable fun fast machine! I had a Stage One and blew a belt or two...didnt like that part. How about trailablity on the turbo? Are they pretty mild in a trail format?

HELP!!

What % of your riding is trails vs. lakes? When you're trail riding, are we talking tight twisties, or more open, groomed stuff? Are you going to do any wrenching the sled might require yourself, or have someone else do it? If the latter, what do the guys in your area ride for boosted sleds? What is the price diff between the two, and are they in similar condition/miles? What gauges are installed on each?

Fill in some of the blanks and I'll give you my opinion. From what you've offered so far, I'm leaning towards the SC...

We ride in Northern MN, WI and Michigan in various trail conditions from tight twisties to long straights. We also ride some ditches here in Southern MN. Again, trailability and reliability are critical....but yet want the quick corner to corner blasts that we all enjoy and dream of during the summer months.

THanks for all the input...leaning more towards the CPR turbo at this point. PS both are the same money...
