Houghton is just more a party place for guys liek us who like to whoop it up after were done riding. We love staying at the ramada in hancock (difference side of river) right on the water and skip lunch because thier suppers are HUGE. Get your belly full, warm up in the hot tub, then hit the lounge all in your flip flops.
Definitly worth one trip up and back to appreciate the area and make you want to move there! (except for the whole no money thing LOL)

Boulder to Copper Harbor
Boulder to Copper on a Nytro, no problem. I ran from Lac du Flambeau to Copper in Feb for the first time on my Nytro. Run to Silver City alot. BTW, Flambeau is southwest of Boulder. Left Thursday. Returned Friday. Conditions were very good overall. Plenty of fuel stops along the way if you take main trails. If you jump off trail or take side trails you'll have to pay attention to fuel. Northerndoc says Mariner North is nice and I concur. Snow was thinner than normal when I was there but better then Flambeau. Haven't had a massage from Johanna but I heard she can take good care of you. The view of Superior is awesome on top of the ridge south of Copper. I enjoyed the trip and I want to do it again. great i'll book a room at the mariner if thats what you guys recommend. snopromod the more I look at ur white and black camo the more i think that is awesome I sure would like to do the same to my nytro. Where did you find it?

Made it to the mariner today it took two days from boulder junction wi. We ran into down pouring rain the first day and a high temp of 39. Lake gogebic was all slush so much I didn't feel comfortable being on it and when we finally made it to ch there is no snow here. I mean no snow my sled is parked in the grass in front of the cabin. But the good news I met johanna today. she is very good at what she does plus a very sweet person. I introduced her to ty and how guys promoted her here. Who knows maybe she will become a member and get a yamaha.
