Can some one tell me if it is yamalube semi-syn 0W-30 that comes in the Nytro's ? I was told not to use synthetic until after break in but this is what the dealer sold to my son. Ty

I have not seen regular (dino) oil at the dealer since I bought my sled. I would just drive the sled with what came in it. Then use the Semi Sin. for the 300-500 mile break-in oil change. Then your good to switch to full Syn. as long as you have over 1500 miles on the machine. If you don't make 1500-2000 just use the semi syn again. This is just my opinion and what I did for mine. I think I had about 2300 miles after the first year so when I changed my oil before storage I switched to Amsoil full syn. The motor is perfect, no smoke, and 128 Mph on the speedo. I think it's safe to say it didn't harm anything.

Thanks,I didn't want to use anything that would keep the rings for seating, this is just to top off
I have been told to screw the dip stick in to check, and others here have said just put it to top of the threads. Can somebody tell me what the owners manual says? I haven't received the manual for this one yet.
Ty

Thanks for that link,it is just what I needed. You are right on the money .
Access to the expertise here is great! What is hard to believe is that 2 dealers gave me the wrong answer. You guys rock!
Thanks again Ty
