I have a 2008 apex, that had some over heating issues last year. Decided to keep alittle better tab on the temp of my engine, so i installed a innovative digital coolent temp/ voltage gauge, along with a wideband gauge. Figured since i also installed a PCV and ignition module, it would be a good investment to keep track of the AFR of the sled. Was going to go with the auto tuner from PC but didnt like it doesnt come with a gauge for real world visual.. I plan on grooming a 1000ft strip in my back yard and making passes keeping track of the afr, and fine tuning the sled. With the littler use ive had with the PCV, its very user freindly.

Installed a rear cooler as well, with new anti ratchet drivers, and had to clip my track, which wasnt fun!!!! lol Went fairly quickly but would never do it again if i could arrange otherwise.

Painted my front plastics as well, Color is GAD. Nissan color from 04-11. Was looking for a real dark, rich looking color. i think i found it!! Powder coated my rear skid as well, with the installation of my new ohlin EC. Cant wait to get to try that new shock out!!!

This all was done will also doing the regular maintance, boggy wheels , speedo bearing, rear axle bearings, oil change, chain case oil. Cant wait to get riding this year!!!

TY 4 stroke for the win!

Hi Apex Mcneil, great job on the paint! I'm also the manager of a Carstar, Ottawa South East. May have bumped into you @ the Conference in Qc. this Aug... and not realized we were both Apex lovers. Mine is a 2011 SE with 15,000kms of Quebec trails under its tract. Alls well so far, just got my Floats back from a re-build and re-valve so should be interesting this year. Havn't had to paint anything on mine so far, knock on wood, except the skid done with Bedliner when new...Still looks new with only a couple of chips. Here's hoping for lots of snow, great for business and fun on the sled.

Wouldnt have seen me at the conference this year. I wasnt able to attend, shop is up 36% over last year, and it was to busy this summer to leave for the last portion of the week. Dont understand where all the work has been coming from. But this will be my biggest year in atleast 5 years!!

Hopefully the snow falls early this year, would love to make a trip to quebec, just have to find the right time to make it happen!!! Do alot of my riding in Northern newbrunswick, were thinking of leaving from Bathurst NB, and heading into quebec from there, and making the loop back around through Edmudston and back across NB to bathurst.

Glad your busy, dead here now but will pick-up when snow fly's. New to Carstar and I'm realistic, minimum 2 years to see the benifits. If you ever plan a trim out this way let me know. Enjoy the winter:crap:(manager) ;)!
